About Mr. Ramirez

My name is Vince Ramirez.  I am a member of the Hubbard mathematics department.  In my previous career I was a systems technician for AT&T.  I transitioned into education in 2009 when I was accepted into the Inner-City Teaching Corps. and Northwestern Universities’ alternative certification program, NU-Teach for math and science teachers.   I enjoy spending time with my family attending baseball games, fishing, boating, and camping.

I challenge my students with real world application to prepare them for success in college, career, and daily life.  My students will be working in cooperative groups regularly as they explore the topics of algebra 1.  I incorporate technology in the classroom with the use of Texas Instruments nSpire calculators, google classroom, and Khan Academy.
