Hubbard High School is a Chicago Public school located on the southwest side of the city in the West Lawn community. The diversity of the student population and the faculty contribute to an inclusive and culturally sensitive learning environment. Primarily a neighborhood school, Hubbard also draws students from all over the city with its International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. The academic programs encourage cognitive, social, emotional and career development. The Local School Council and administration, faculty, and community believe that pursuing a postsecondary education should be a primary goal for all students.
Hubbard High School is among the top 50 public high schools in Chicago as of 2024. Ranked number 39 in Chicago for CPS district-run high schools, Hubbard is proud to have been ranked by Chicago magazine who once again published their list of the best schools in the city and suburbs. There are over 2,000 schools that they rank and it has been 5 years since they last published a list.
Seventy-five juniors and seniors are enrolled in the full IB Diploma Programme which includes 7 IB classes, successful completion of the CAS requirement, and an Extended Essay.
